I've taken hundreds of pictures of Napier from air but most of them have been for work. Work sorties mean hiring an aircraft and pilot, often days in advance, then as long as the light is adequate and the weather is flyable the job gets done - not surprisingly the results are usually rather workmanlike. Another problem is that much of Napier lies under the main airport approach path where my meandering flights have to fit in between the airline comings and goings. I am planning to do something about the paucity of Napier pictures, possibly even a high level (10,000ft) sortie some day when the conditions are right (most likely in winter).
